I deactivated my account on Facebook for subjective reasons, and now I’m going to tell you why my life is so much better now.
1. You realize who your real friends & close family are:
When you’re on Facebook, everyone can see what you post. They can share it if they want to. Sometimes, that makes life complicated by involving acquaintances and strangers into your personal life. Whenever you get into an argument, you become a scene online.
Once you give up the Facebook, you’re down to whoever you talk to on a regular basis. The other people can’t bother you anymore. You feel better when there’s no spotlight on you at all hours of the day. When you’re contacted, you can count on it being genuine.
2. You make better use of your time:
A lot of people spend ridiculous amounts of time doing negligible tasks online, when they have the capacity to be bettering the world. Having more time and less distractions makes for a better future and a better present. The important things in life are love, helping and giving. There’s always something better you could be doing than Facebook.
3. You start thinking a little more often:
Facebook is a mindless distraction. Everyone is guilty of feeding into distractions. Facebook is one of the worst distractions because it becomes a daily habit and discourages productivity.
Lift your head from the phone more often. Think about useful things. Spend time with nature instead of Facebook games.
4. Facebook isn’t relaxing:
Seeing what other people are fronting isn’t fun. Even if it’s something everyone does, it isn’t always a good thing to spend a lot of time on. Everyone has problems. Acting as if you don’t isn’t going to help anyone.
Maybe gaming is relaxing to many people, but Facebook isn’t very good for gamers. There are much better alternatives. There are photo and video alternatives. Page creation alternatives too.
Facebook is always in the news with privacy breaches. They obviously work with the FBI, NSA and local police departments. It’s no secret and they have the right to, just as we have the right to not have to use Facebook or anything else.
2015 implemented some invasive terms and conditions involving searching your computer and every other device users log in from. That alone can drive a person away from their online friend base.
