If you’re going to be full of it, at least have the decency to have what it takes to back it up. Billions of people have an entitled attitude but only a handful of those individuals are really able to produce as much as they expect in return.
Personally, Seth MacFarlane comes to mind because of his confidence. Many people are just as full of themselves as he is but he creates enough value to be that big headed. As a man who creates successful media, voices notorious characters, performs with timeless big bands and can basically do anything he wants, Seth MacFarlane is an archetype of a balanced success.
On the same spectrum but with half as much talent, Kanye West is as egotistical as they get. With twice the hot air, he would need twice as much talent as Seth. Kanye did start off a little more humbly than he is now, but his head grew faster than his skill sets.
In this world, the occasional Jim Carrey can be spotted. By that I mean, a talented yet humble successful person can exist even after making millions. These types are rare and they generally have longer careers. Regardless of whether they live the fast life or not, some celebrities stand out by doing good in an otherwise cruel world.
These comparisons and contrasts are not only for the famous. They apply to common people as well. If someone has the confidence to portray an entitled attitude, they damn well better be worth it.
